BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
The Business of the Year Award will be presented to a business that has demonstrated upwards trends in its employment and production. Further, it has exhibited the true meaning of community spirit and cooperation and civic activities while encouraging its own personnel’s involvement.

Eligibility: Any member providing sales of goods and/or services for profit that employs more than 20

Criteria:

    • 1) Must be a member in good standing of the Chamber
    • 2) The business must be a good citizen of the community, is active in supporting charitable and
    • civic events, and encourages its personnel to be active within the community
    • 3) Business has exhibited a substantial history as a successful establishment
    • 4) Business continues to provide stable opportunities for employment
    • 5) The value of their citizenship should be relative to their resources
    • 6) The business operates as a competitive and highly ethical business

 

SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR

The Small Business of the Year Award will be presented to an innovative, entrepreneurial enterprise that fulfills a community need.

Eligibility: Any member providing sales of goods and/or services for profit that employs fewer than 20

Criteria:

      • 1) Must be a member in good standing of the chamber
      • 2) Business is active within the community
      • 3) The value of their citizenship should be relative to their resources
      • 4) The business operates as a competitive and highly ethical business

 

INDUSTRY OF THE YEAR
The Industry of the Year Award will be presented to a manufacturing company that has demonstrated upwards trends in its employment and production. Further, it has exhibited the true meaning of community spirit and cooperation and civic activities while encouraging its own personnel’s involvement.

Eligibility: Any industry operating in Manchester

Criteria:

    • 1) The business must be a good citizen of the community, is active in supporting charitable and civic events, and encourages its personnel to be active within the community
    • 2) Business has exhibited a substantial history as a successful establishment
    • 3) Business continues to provide stable opportunities for employment
    • 4) The value of their citizenship should be relative to their resources
    • 5) Operates as a competitive and highly ethical business

PROJECT WEB PARTNER OF THE YEAR (to be nominated by education professionals only)

The Project WEB Partner of the Year Award will be presented to a business or individual who has become actively involved in creating educational opportunities through participating in school events/programs, mentoring, sponsoring, etc.

Eligibility: Any business or individual who has voluntarily contributed to a school in Manchester/Coffee County

Criteria:

        • 1) The business or individual has attended meetings or communicated with school partners at least three times within the year
        • 2) The business or individual has contributed to one big project or consistently contributed to many programs throughout the year
        • 3) The business or individual has made an impact on learning and overall student success.
